Mercedes-Benz has been using standard bulbs in their cars for over 100 years, but with the latest S-Class models bulbs were replaced with approximately 500 LED lights.
Anti-lock brakes were created specifically for the S-Class in 1978. Mercedes-Benz first refined the technology with Bosch in the ’70s, then added the technology to the S-Class in 1978. Soon after, anti-lock breaks became standard on all Mercedes-Benz models.
- Ever wondered what the letters AMG stand for? These letters represent the names of the founders. The two men named Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher were the founders of the company. The letters ‘A’ and ‘M’ represent the surnames of both the founders, while ‘G’ was taken from Großaspach, which was the hometown of Aufrecht.

The Head-Up display works by the principles of mirror optics reflecting onto the windscreen to present a 480×240 display of information. High power LEDs are used to illuminate the display module. Using LED lighting in this display creates a crisp and clear reflection that minimizes distraction and maximizes safety.
With the combined expertise of Burmester and Mercedes-Benz, intelligent algorithms and height speakers in the roof lining are put to use to provide the unique 3D sound. With 13 speakers, Frontbass technology and a DSP amplifier with a total output power of 590 watts, the system will also indulge the ears with natural and substance-rich sound.

The AMG-Line cars have a sporty design edge, with AMG bodystyling and various other features across the range. All cars with this trim have upgraded brakes and sports suspension, offering a firmer ride. The alloy wheels are AMG, with a minimum diameter of 18-inch.
